FP8102 1A single-cell lithium-ion linear charging IC [Copy link]

General Description

FP8102 is a stand-alone linear Li-ion battery charger with exposed pad SOP8 package; with few external components, FP8102 is very suitable for a wide range of portable applications. The charging current can be programmed by an external resistor; in standby mode, the supply current will be reduced to about 55uA; other features include UVLO, automatic charging, charging status indicator and thermal regulation.

This charging IC looks pretty good. Is there a reference circuit? How does the charging current control specifically work by programming an external resistor?
