Free review: Domestic RISC-V Linux board Fang Xingguang VisionFive [Copy link]

Evaluation kit: Fang Starlight VisionFive (5 sets in total, valued at 1100)

Kit source: Siafan Technology (StarFive)

I have warmed up for you in the forum before, >>The domestic RISC-V Linux VisionFive board that is popular on YouTube is here.

The VisionFive board can be said to be a RISC-V computer with a favorable price. It runs the Linux operating system (official version of Fedora) and is not inferior to the Raspberry Pi 4. It is based on the RISC-V intelligent visual processing platform Fang Jinghong 7100 SoC launched by Saifang. JH7100 is a RISC-V dual-core U74 processor. The performance of U74 is comparable to ARM A55. It comes with 2MB of L2 cache and operates at a frequency of 1.0GHz. Note: The onboard JH7100 (dual-core without GPU, 1.0GHz) is an ecological chip and is not on the market. The corresponding product on the market is the JH7110 (JH7110 quad-core with GPU, 1.5GHz) with better performance than it.

Video processing function description: Video codec (H264/H265): up to 4K@60FPS, dual-channel ISP, single-channel up to 4K@30FPS, 2 x MIPI-CSI, 1 x MIPI-DSI, 1 x HDMI 1.4, up to 1080P@60FPS, support MIPI-CSI TX for ISP and AI processed video output, JPEG codec

Evaluation suggestions

As a development board that promotes the RISC-V ecosystem, Sai Fang does not want developers to just test its performance. He hopes that friends who try it can make some contributions to promoting the RISC-V ecosystem. All contributions need to be open sourced to the community. The content you hope to see includes, but is not limited to:
1. Operating system porting
2. Application framework and development tool porting
3. Compilation and installation of open source software
4. Python library encapsulation of GPIO, I2C, UART and other interfaces
5. Development of application routines, such as sensor control
6. Any other innovative applications on RISC-V

Some of them are not made public by the original manufacturers, and some of them are not made available by the original manufacturers. . . . The core problem is still insufficient investment   Details Published on 2022-4-29 09:40

I don't know whether the information is public. Don't be like the Flathead Brother, where no information is public and you have to guess from the routine when testing.

I have read the above information, but it is still not enough. I need low-level information that can be used to write drivers. These information are all application information. I need register-level information on peripherals, which can be used to write drivers.
