[RVB2601 Creative Application Development] Part 1 Development Preparation 1 (Chip and Board Data Learning) [Copy link]

  1. chip

CH2601 is a 32-bit RISC-V core MCU based on the Pingtouge Xuantie E906 . Xuantie E906 is a high-performance processor in the Pingtouge RISC-V MCU product line . Its design goal is to achieve relatively high performance indicators with the lowest area and power consumption cost. E906 is mainly aimed at application fields such as voice, high-end MCU, lightweight AI, navigation, and WiFi.

The following figure is a block diagram of E906. The functions of some modules are as follows:

  • CLIC: Core Local Interrupt Controller
  • FPU: Floating Point Processing Unit
  • DSP: Digital Signal Processing Unit
  • PMP: physical memory protection
  • HPM: Hardware Performance Monitoring Module

Main features of CH2601:

  1. 512KB XIP Flash, which should be the KGD flash DIE with QSPI interface sealed in the chip
  2. RAM: 192KB DSRAM, 64KB ISRAM
  3. Main frequency up to 220MHz
  4. DMA
  5. 32-bit RTC, 4 32-bit timers
  6. 6 16-bit PWMs, capable of triggering ADC sampling
  7. 32-bit watchdog
  8. USB 1.1 Device
  9. 7-way I2S
  10. 12-bit ADC, maximum sampling rate 2MSPS
  11. 2 SPI interfaces
  12. 1 I2C interface
  13. 2 UART interfaces
  14. Port voltage 3.3V, maximum not exceeding 3.6V
  15. Package QFN64

Uses standard 5-wire JTAG debugging interface

  1. Development Boards

The development board is named RVB2601, and its main functions include:

The manufacturer provided a schematic and a user manual. After taking a look, I found the content to be very clear and detailed, which is great!

The mark of the CH2601 chip on the chip shows:

  • XUANTIE E906 -- Core Model
  • CH2601 -- Chip Model
  • A2104 -- Date code?

After the development board is powered on, the OLED displays the RISC-V character LOGO.

That’s all for today. I’ll share more experience after using it.

The resources are not many. If LVGL is used, it is not suitable for WiFi. It can be said that if it is a complex application, it is still not very sufficient.  Details Published on 2022-4-3 18:43
