STM8S003F3P6: I'm up again

STM8S003F3P6 increased from 3.5 yuan to more than 6.5 yuan.

The normal price of STM8S003F3P6 is 1.5 yuan. This MCU is used in wireless chargers, shared bicycles, and small appliances that can be found everywhere around us.

  • The number "8" after STM means that the number of bits of the MCU is 8;

  • "S" stands for standard; for example, the automotive-grade A series, the basic F series, the ultra-low power L series, the standard S series, the touch product T series, and the wireless product WB series

  • "003" is a three-digit number representing a specific function; for example, mainstream entry-level 103, automotive-grade CAN F52, low-end automotive type L31...

  • The "F" stands for the specific pin count, the "3" stands for the flash capacity, the "P" refers to the package type, and the last "6" stands for the temperature range.

The price of STM8S003F3P6 has dropped slightly in the past six months, and has been rising since then. There is a gap in functionality between its domestic replacement and the original. When its price drops, major manufacturers generally choose to switch back to 8S003, which further increases its popularity and price.

STM32F103VCT6: a new price every day

The price of STM32F103VCT6 has increased from around 160 yuan to over 300 yuan, and the price increase has increased from 14.5 times to at least 27 times. Is this surprising or unexpected?

The normal price of STM32F103VCT6 is 11 yuan. As ST's basic F series MCU, it has always been popular in downstream consumer electronics, Internet of Things, and industrial control applications.

  • "32" refers to the 32-bit MCU, and "103" refers to the basic type;

  • Other STM32x... rules: entry-level 051, 103 upgraded version 303, high-performance 407, ultra-low power 152.

After the news that ST's production in the first two quarters of this year dropped significantly compared with last year, the prices of this type of general-purpose MCU series have been rising. ST has seen another round of surges, especially the F series (the price of STM32F103VCT6 in mid-February was still below 200 yuan, and two weeks later, the price had been called up to over 300 yuan). However, it seems to have fallen back after mid-March.

ST's agent Avnet (Europe) has been asked not to sell outside Europe, which means that speculators who take advantage of regional price differences have lost a channel.

As last year's "Best Financial Product of the Year", it is still as strong as ever. It is said that those who have STM's general-purpose MCUs are reluctant to sell them.

NO.3 A critical strike from spring

TPS61194PWPRQ1: Watch, watch, it goes up... goes up...

The price has experienced a sharp rise recently, and now it is approaching 2,500 yuan.

The normal price is around 5 yuan. The automotive LED driver provides backlight for the following applications: automotive infotainment system, automotive instrument panel, smart mirror, head-up display (HUD), central information display (CID), audio and video navigation (AVN). The TPS61194-Q1 has four 100mA channels.

Naming convention

  • TPS6x is TI's DC-DC solution, and the TPS61194-Q1 integrates this solution to become an automotive high-efficiency LED driver;

  • TPS6119x-Q1 is divided into three LED drivers based on input voltage, number of LED channels, LED current/channel, etc., with performance increasing from 61193, 61194, and 61196.

Last year, the highest price was only 100 yuan, but now it has risen to 1,000 yuan. The price of this chip has skyrocketed since it broke through 100 yuan in September last year, and now it has skyrocketed to over 1,000 yuan, at least 200 times.

Some terminals have even been waiting and watching, hoping that it would have a good price, but they have watched it rise continuously.

TI's ADS1115IDGSR is currently priced at around 20 yuan.

According to the selection guide for automotive headlights on TI's official website, TPS92662A-Q1 and TPS92663A-Q1 are matrix controllers, TPS92682-Q1 is a boost regulator, and TPS92520-Q1 and others are buck regulators.
This chip started to rise in price in the second half of last year, and has continuously set new price records from breaking 100 to 1,000. While other companies' funds are rising, the LED driver growth of us IC people is worrying.

NO.6 Fluctuating prices, fluctuating moods

BQ32000DR: I went up again, and I went down again

BQ32000DR price increase continues in March.

The normal price is 3.5 yuan. Real-time clocks and timers from TI are widely used in general consumer electronic products.

BQ- stands for TI's battery management solution, BQ32000DR (2500) and BQ32000D (75) differ only in package quantity.
The popularity of BQ32000DR has also been ups and downs as its price has gone through twists and turns. With the recent price increase, everyone's emotions have also been driven up and the popularity has gradually increased.

NO.7 Qualcomm Internet celebrity chip

AR8035-AL1B: Up to 1,000 yuan

It has now risen to 1,000 yuan.

The AR8035-AL1B has a normal price of about 5 yuan. It is Qualcomm's fourth-generation single-port 10/100/1000 Mbps triple-speed Ethernet PHY. It has the characteristics of low cost and low power consumption and is suitable for various commercial and consumer applications.

AR8031, AR8033 and AR8035 series are all Qualcomm's network communication chips.

GD32F103RCT6: Price reduction, you can choose whatever you want

After a slight drop in price, the price is now around 20 yuan.

The 32-bit microcontroller from GigaDevice has a normal price of 7-8 yuan. For price-sensitive devices, or when price is sensitive, many terminals will consider using this domestic chip to temporarily replace TI's STM32F103, but you must always pay attention to some details to avoid failure.

Naming convention

In general, the two letters and numbers in the suffix of the GD32F103 series represent different flash memory and memory combinations. For example, the "RC" in GD32F103RCT6 represents 256kb of Flash and 48kb of SRAM, and the "T6" corresponds to 16kb of Flash and 6kb of SRAM, which can be seen as a relatively basic performance model in the series.

Looking at the price increase caused by TI shortage above, you will know that GD is not so scarce at this price, and there is also a lot of stable demand. It is true that "fortunes change over time, and heaven spares no one". I hope that one day everyone will be able to afford domestic products.

NO.9 The dark horse with a mediocre price increase

TLE7189QK: Delivery date still a mystery

The price has risen to more than 400 yuan.

The normal price is around RMB 25. It is a gate driver IC from Infineon, dedicated to controlling 6-12 external MOSFETs to form a converter for high-current 3-phase motor drives in the automotive industry.

After the price of TLE7189QK plummeted at the end of last year, it suddenly reversed this year, and the price increase momentum went straight to the sky, catching you off guard. However, the TLE series automotive-grade chips are still in short supply, and the price increase is relatively large. It is said that most of the prices have increased by more than 10 times.

It seems that Infineon's delivery date this year remains a mystery.

1SMB5913BT3G: I heard that the Brother part number has increased 100 times

ON Semiconductor's 1SMB5913BT3G has recently risen to around 20 yuan.

This is a 3.0 W Zener diode voltage regulator with a normal price of about 0.5 yuan. It is suitable for different terminal products and plays the role of voltage regulation, waveform clipping, MOSFET gate protection, etc.

Naming convention

The 1SMB59XX series, from "1SMB5913" with the suffix number added to "1SMB5956", all support different specifications of diode regulators, with voltages ranging from the lowest 3.3V to the highest 200V. Generally speaking, the higher the number, the higher the performance.

From 0.5 yuan to 20 yuan, a 40-fold increase is amazing for this low-cost material. However, when the demand is not so great, I heard that a 10-fold increase in price can also be achieved.

The 1SMB59XX series has become a popular part number of ON Semiconductor, and it is said that the price of some parts has increased by more than 100 times . In fact, the supply of ON Semiconductor's MOS tubes, diodes and tertiary tubes is particularly difficult, and the market prices have generally increased by more than 10 times.
