There are so many GPS/DBS positioning modules on the market, how should I choose? [Copy link]

Recently, I have to choose GPS/BDS positioning module for my product. I have used some GPS/BDS positioning modules before. The cold start time is a bit long. When the weather is good, it takes about one minute to search for satellites. When the weather is bad, it takes several minutes to search for satellites, and the number of satellites found is also very small. I won’t talk about what module was used at that time. Have you used GPS/BDS positioning module? Tell me the benefits and disadvantages of the GPS/BDS positioning module you have used , so as to help the author and the forum friends choose the right module.

Let me tell you a secret: you can get extra core points for replying to this post~

Nowadays, people like to do navigation positioning, tracking supervision, and real-time data reading. How much help can they really provide?   Details Published on 2022-2-28 12:36

The first cold start is relatively slow, but the second positioning is fast after positioning, and it is even faster with AGPS.

Looking at many modules, the official nominal cold start time is around 30s, which feels quite different from the actual test.  Details Published on 2022-1-17 13:30

It's all conditional. Ideally it might be 30s, but it can't be achieved in most cases.  Details Published on 2022-1-17 15:07

It may look very high-tech, but is it actually useful? It is still somewhat useful.  Details Published on 2022-2-28 13:02
