Application of Operational Amplifier in Voltage Comparator [Copy link]

Voltage Comparison

The figure above is a typical signal conversion circuit, which converts the input AC signal into a square wave signal of the same frequency through the comparator LM393 (there is a phase inversion, which can be processed by software). This circuit is widely used in AC signal frequency measurement.
This circuit is actually a combination of a zero-crossing comparator and a depth amplifier circuit.
The output is amplified by (1+R292/R273) times. The higher the amplification factor, the steeper the rising edge of the square wave.
There is another key component resistance value in this circuit that needs attention, that is R275. R275 determines the rising speed of the square wave.

This is an application of a comparator, not an op amp.

This is not an amplifier, but a hysteresis comparator, which converts the input signal into a square wave.
