UWB technology is a wireless carrier communication technology that uses a frequency bandwidth of more than 1GHz. It does not use a sinusoidal carrier, but uses nanosecond non-sinusoidal narrow pulses to transmit data, so it occupies a large spectrum range. Although it uses wireless communication, its data transmission rate can reach more than several hundred megabits per second. Using UWB technology, signals can be transmitted over a very wide bandwidth.

BU01 is an ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver module based on Decawave's DW1000 design. It integrates antenna, RF circuit, power management and clock circuit. It can be used in two-way ranging or TDOA positioning systems. The positioning accuracy can reach 10 cm and supports a data rate of up to 6.8 Mbps. NodeMCU-BU01 is a development board designed for the BU01 module. It is equipped with STM32F103C8T6 MCU, and the peripherals add temperature and humidity sensors and three-dimensional acceleration sensors to provide convenience for customer development and debugging.
