What sensor can measure the droplet falling (through the infusion tube) [Copy link]

 

I bought an infrared tube module on Taobao, but I found that it cannot penetrate the infusion tube to detect the droplets falling inside. It directly regards the outer wall of the infusion tube as an obstacle and cannot detect what is inside the infusion tube. How do the experts solve this problem?

I'm afraid it's not possible to use the infrared tube directly? You have to add an optical system, a set of lenses to focus the light emitted from the tube onto the droplet, and another set of lenses to convert the emitted light into parallel light.

In addition, the dripping part of the infusion tube is made of glass. This glass is transparent to visible light (otherwise you can't see the drop), but it may not be transparent to the infrared light emitted by the infrared tube you are using.
