This robot comes from a crowdfunding project called Petoi Bittle, and the project leader is Nanjing University alumnus Li Rongzhong .

Mass production of low-cost mini robot dogs

According to the official website, they are committed to making mass-produced, low-cost robot dogs suitable for "everyone".

This robot dog Bittle measures 20cm×11cm×11cm and weighs less than 280g. It can carry 450g of "cargo" under its belly and can run at a maximum speed of two body lengths per second.

In addition, Bittle can memorize dozens of instinctive movement patterns and perform more tricks under real-time instructions.

It consists of five main components: body frame, actuators, electronics, batteries and software.

The body frame, users can assemble Bittle like assembling a 3D puzzle, and the entire frame production process takes about 1 hour.

The whole robot needs 9 P1S servos to drive, 8 of which are used for walking joints and 1 for pan/tilt translation. Of course, a spare servo is also included.

Bittle is powered by a NyBoard V1, a custom Arduino board used to coordinate the complex movements.

Users can also install Raspberry Pi or other AI chips through wired or wireless connections to inject artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities into Bittle.
