On February 17, at the 68th International Solid-State Circuits Conference, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 38th Institute released a high-performance 77GHz millimeter-wave chip and module, which is the first in the world to integrate two 3-transmit 4-receive millimeter-wave chips and 10 millimeter-wave antennas in a single package, with a detection distance of 38.5 meters, setting a new record for the longest detection distance of millimeter-wave packaged antennas in the world.

The packaged antenna module released this time contains two 77GHz millimeter-wave radar chips developed by the 38th Institute. The chip is aimed at the core millimeter-wave sensor needs in the field of intelligent driving. It adopts low-cost CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor process) and integrates 3 transmitting channels, 4 receiving channels and radar waveform generation on a single chip. The main performance indicators have reached the international advanced level. It has special advantages in fast broadband radar signal generation, etc. The chip supports multi-chip cascading and building larger-scale radar arrays.

In the next step, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 38th Institute will further optimize the millimeter-wave radar chip and change it according to the expansion of application needs and technological advances, providing one-stop solutions based on specific application scenarios.
