[Q&A] About the selection of C2000 [Copy link]

Selection problem, there are 2 options:
Option 1: Use 2802x series, but it only has 1 uart, I need 2 uarts. Does TI have a chip similar to SPI to UART or I2C to UART? If so, please recommend a model.
Option 2: Directly use 2806x series, which meets the requirements but is expensive. I hope the MCU is around 3 US dollars.
Does TI have a better solution? The functions I use are relatively simple, mainly requiring 2 uarts, and I am sensitive to price. Is there a better way to help me expand another uart?

The recommended choice is the F2803x series, which has a UART and a LIN module, the latter of which can support LIN or UART mode, and the cost should be just within your acceptable range. The
user manual of the LIN module can be downloaded from the following website: www.ti.com/lit/SPRUGE2
LIN is an enhanced URAT, which is the interface in the car and can be used with confidence.
