STLINK cannot recognize the chip [Copy link]

There are two STLINKs, one is good and can recognize the chip, the other one can't.

This is the emulator.

It is said that this kind of emulator is not easy to break. Can an expert fix it? For example, re-flash the firmware or something. I don't know how to do it. Please give me some advice, thank you!

If it doesn't work, forget it. ST has STLINK on every board. Why bother with it?   Details Published on 2020-7-2 15:40

Flashing the firmware is troublesome. Besides, I'm not sure if your hardware is good. Just buy a new one.

From the screenshot above, the serial number has been identified, so stlink should be fine.  Details Published on 2020-6-27 19:25

Thank you! That's strange. Why can't the STLINK detect the chip when there is no problem? But the other STLINK can detect it, which means there is no problem with the board.  Details Published on 2020-6-27 19:28

The ST-Link serial number has been identified, which means your downloader is fine. Please check the problem of your board. In most cases, it is your board's problem. Also, some ST-Links have 3.3V power supply, while others do not. This needs attention.

Thanks! The board should be fine. Another STLINK can recognize it. It's the same STLINK. I remember there was a broken one before. That colleague reflashed the firmware and it worked. But that colleague left.  Details Published on 2020-6-28 16:12

I guess the firmware is not broken. The computer can recognize it. It should be a hardware problem, maybe the connection or power supply.

It can be upgraded using the STM32 ST-LINK Utility.

But it just can't connect to the device.

I posted two pictures of the simulator.

This is bad.

This is good.

This one is broken. I checked it and found that there is an R1 on the left side of the 20-pin jack that is not soldered. I don't know if it has any effect.

These two emulators are different, one is produced in May and the other in July. The one produced in July 2019 is the bad one.
