When a capacitor on a PCBA explodes, does it turn black or just break into powder? [Copy link]

I would like to ask all the experts, when a capacitor explodes, does it turn into white powder or turn black and burn? ?

What kind of state is it as shown in the picture?

There are also many types of chip capacitors. "Turn into powder", probably a ceramic capacitor.   Details Published on 2020-5-4 10:05

After the capacitor explodes, if white powder and black appear, it is probably because the fault time is too long.

The initial phenomenon is that the electrolyte will expand when heated, preventing the mouth from cracking.

Normal capacitors, poor quality or faulty capacitors usually explode and leak.

If the positive and negative poles are installed in reverse, the consequence of powering on is large leakage current, heat, bursting, and rolls of paper pulp, because there is a double layer of capacitor paper and double layer of aluminum foil wrapped inside.
