How to develop with the MSP432P401R LaunchPad? [Copy link]

Start developing with LaunchPad:
Step 1: Purchase an MSP-EXP432P401R LaunchPadStep
2: Download the MSP432 SDKStep
3: Complete the out-of-box experience and receive SimpleLink Academy training

The SimpleLink MSP432P401R LaunchPad development kit enables you to develop high-performance applications that benefit from low-power operation. It features the MSP432P401R, which includes a 48MHz ARM Cortex-M4F, 80uA/MHz active power consumption and 660nA RTC operation, a SAR precision ADC with 16-bit performance, and an AES256 accelerator.

All pins of the MSP-EXP432P401R device are fanned out for easy connection. Through these pins, you can easily insert 20-pin and 40-pin BoosterPack modules to add additional features such as low-power Bluetooth (BLE) and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity.

The out-of-box experience provided by the MSP-EXP432P401R LaunchPad kit includes a graphical user interface that allows the user to type in the number of RGB LED beats per minute desired and select from 16 million colors. See why it's easy to get started with the MSP432 Quick Start Guide.

You can browse all the documentation online through TI Resource Explorer and start developing with the SimpleLink MSP432 Software Development Kit (SDK) and related SDK plug-ins, so you can easily add Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Wi-Fi after adding the SimpleLink Wireless BoosterPack. Other professional development environments are also available, such as TI's online CCS Cloud IDE, Eclipse-based Code Composer Studio, IAR Embedded Workbench and Keil uVision.

This LaunchPad kit includes an emulator with EnergyTrace+ technology, which means you can program and debug your project without the need for additional tools, while also measuring total system energy consumption.

For more information on the LaunchPad and supported BoosterPacks, visit the TI LaunchPad website.
