It is reported that Apple mistakenly used US dollars to settle accounts with Chinese developers, and the developers' income increased by 7 times [Copy link]

On the morning of September 4, some developers broke the news on Weibo that when Apple paid domestic developers, it mistakenly paid RMB instead of USD, causing the developers to receive "wages" that were 7 times higher than before.

In the past, Apple used US dollars as the unit of measurement when settling with App developers, and converted it into RMB when settling with domestic developers. However, this time, Apple seemed to be a little careless and did not convert the unit of measurement.

Some developers posted their income on Weibo, which increased by about 7 times, and the foreign exchange has been received and can be declared. The netizen named @waylybaye said that although the money has arrived, he has no idea what to do with it.

Some developers began to doubt their lives after receiving this huge sum of money: “When did my App sales become so high???” Later, this developer confirmed with other developers and found that he was not the only one who received the “huge sum of money”.

Regarding this matter, Sina Digital also asked some familiar developers, and they said they had not encountered such a situation yet.

Apple officials declined to comment.

According to Apple's rules, the revenue from users' App Store spending is split 70% between Apple and developers, with developers taking 70% and Apple taking 30%. If it is a subscription project, Apple takes 30% in the first year and only 15% from the second year onwards. It is understood that Apple usually has a payment cycle for developers and sets a minimum amount. When developers' income reaches the payment requirements, Apple will provide a detailed income report.

Is there such a good thing in heaven? I don't think it should be possible. Apple should also have financial accounting. If you send the wrong one, you will be fired.   Details Published on 2019-9-6 15:28

I always thought that companies like Apple should use artificial intelligence to settle accounts with developers, but now it seems that it is humans who are doing it.

Wouldn't this recover the extra money? After all, a 7-fold difference is too much.
