Detailed explanation of AP and STA working modes of wireless Wifi module [Copy link]

The Wifi module includes two working modes, AP and STA. With the support of these two modes, the wireless image transmission product can achieve the function of sending and receiving multiple devices. Let's start with the basic concepts of AP and STA to understand them. 1. Basic concepts of AP and STA AP: It is a wireless access point, which is the creator of a wireless network and the central node of the network. The wireless router used in general homes or offices is an AP. STA: Every terminal connected to a wireless network (such as a laptop, PDA and other user devices that can be connected to the Internet) can be called a station. 2. Working in AP and STA mode Description 1. Working in AP mode In AP mode, mobile phones, PADs, computers and other devices can be directly connected to the module, which can easily control user devices (as shown in Figure 2-1) 405414 Figure 2-1 Working in AP mode 2. Working in STA mode This is a basic networking method, consisting of one AP and many STAs, as shown in the following figure. Its characteristic is that AP is in the central position, and the mutual communication between STAs is completed through AP forwarding. In this mode, the WIFI module works in STA (CLIENT) mode. Through appropriate settings, the data of COM and the network data of WIFI are converted to each other. (As shown in Figure 2-2)
