Huawei is so poor that it has no money to buy keyboards and mice? Do you bring your own office supplies? [Copy link]

[p=28, null, left]Recently, someone shared an email signed by Ren Zhengfei titled "Forwarding "How many second-hand mice and keyboards did Huawei buy on Xianyu?" [/p][p=28, null, left] [/p][p=28, null, left]I believe everyone can understand the content of the email, because employees complained that the company's "standard" keyboards and mice were second-hand or even rotten, and finally alarmed the founder of Huawei and had to forward such an email. [/p][p=28, null, left] [/p][p=28, null, left]Such a problem exists in both large and small companies. When an employee leaves, the office equipment he used will be left to the next new employee to continue using. It will only be replaced if it is broken. Otherwise, it will be passed down like this. Some people think it is of poor quality, and some people think it is inconvenient and cannot be used. [/p][p=28, null, left] [/p][p=28, null, left]How do you solve this problem? [/p]

The company must provide or give certain options to special users. For example, programmers rely on keyboards, layout relies on mice, and structure burns graphics cards. Of course, they should be configured in a targeted manner. Companies that use their own computers to work are companies with irregular management, let alone companies that do not allow users to buy mice. Haha, at least they should formulate a replacement cycle based on different wear and tear, and find a way to replace them within the cycle.  Details Published on 2019-1-29 20:26

Actually, I like to use my own computer. Besides, computers are not consumables, so it’s not a big deal. However, some companies generally give employees subsidies, but this is for new employees who have just purchased a computer. I don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s convenient to use your own computer. But there is one thing to consider: if the company does not have adequate data encryption to prevent leakage, letting employees use their own computers actually risks leaking company secrets.

Popular products are just like that. If you want to use your own products, you don't need that little money. It's not like you're buying a computer.

I don't like using the company's computer. I bring my own so I don't have to copy it back and forth when I go home to work.

I still prefer to use my own. The company subsidizes it, so I feel it is better. But what Xin Xin said before is right. If it involves confidential things, it is better to use a dedicated plane for a dedicated purpose.

The laptop is encrypted and can only be used with the company's. The desktop can only be used with the company's. So all the computer equipment is the company's. However, the mouse and keyboard are bought by myself. The Lenovo mouse and keyboard provided by the company are simply unusable.

I personally think that if the problem with the mouse is not serious, you can find the original one to repair it, although it may not be very easy to use, if you want user experience, you have to buy something at home.

How can we not provide new keyboards and mice when they are worn out? A set of ordinary keyboards and mice can still last for about a year. By then, even if they are not broken, they can be replaced. As for those who want to bring their own mechanical keyboards, they can bring their own. There is no need for the company to equip them with such high-end ones. But we can't ask employees to dig out a pile of used old things to find something that can still be used.

My point of view is this: the company has the obligation and responsibility to provide employees with production tools. It is not necessary to use the company's own tools. Just like the case of Huawei, I must complain, but if the company does nothing, I will still buy them myself. After all, I can't be disgusted by such a small thing.

In theory, it is understandable that the company purchases new equipment for employees to use. Some people say that it is better to use their own habits, which has nothing to do with whether it needs to be configured by the company.
