[Repost] Is wireless charging useless or a black technology?

In the past two years, major mobile phone manufacturers have been enthusiastic about wireless charging. As of December last year, there were 135 mobile phones that support wireless charging, including the latest models released by Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi and other brands. OPPO, which has always insisted on not adding wireless charging function to its mobile phones, has also recently joined WPC. It is expected that the number of mobile phones that support wireless charging will increase significantly in 2019, and there will be a trend of popularization from high-end phones to mid- and low-end phones. Wireless charging in the eyes of users However, consumers do not seem to be willing to buy into this enthusiasm. Wireless charging is indeed very convenient, but the current wireless charging products have a feeling of "changing soup but not medicine". The line is just connected to the wireless charger, and the mobile phone must be close to the charger to charge. There is no freedom to occupy the desktop, which is far from the imagined "wireless" charging. The performance of wireless charging transmitters needs to be upgraded urgently Although more and more mobile phones are equipped with wireless functions, the performance of wireless chargers is not very satisfactory. Technical limitations such as slow charging speed, short charging distance, and small charging area have become obstacles to the popularization of wireless charging. Previous wireless charging products had low charging efficiency and large losses, and power levels such as 5W and 9W were relatively mature. However, technology is always improving and developing. For example, Huawei’s 15W wireless fast charging and reverse wireless charging show us that wireless charging still has great development potential. The construction of wireless charging environment has not kept pace In addition, for users, when airports, hotels, cafes, restaurants, homes, offices and many other life and work scenes begin to support wireless charging, it will further promote the cultivation of users' wireless charging habits. However, the charging distance of wireless chargers currently sold on the market is only 5-7mm. If you want to lay them in public places, you need to dig holes in the table, which is time-consuming and costly, and the acceptance of merchants is low, which is not conducive to the promotion of wireless charging infrastructure. Compared with charging speed, the improvement of charging distance has extremely high technical requirements, so few companies have made breakthroughs. Here I must mention the wireless charging experience I had at Haidilao. Instead of digging a hole to put the wireless charging device in the desktop, the wireless charger installed by Haidilao can be directly installed under the table, so that the phone can be charged across the table. After searching, it turned out that Haidilao used the 35mm remote charging wireless charging solution developed by Wei'e Technology. Obviously, this solution is not only suitable for more scenarios, but the simple installation method makes public laying simpler and more efficient, and can actively promote the construction of a wireless charging environment. Compared with traditional wired charging methods, wireless charging technology can indeed bring many conveniences. Although wireless charging is still a supplementary method of wired charging, as users' charging habits are gradually influenced and changed, wireless charging has truly been integrated into life.
