MAXREFDES79# is the world’s first publicly available 4-port IO-Link host reference design that is fully compatible with IO-Link® . The design uses TEConcept's IO-Link host stack, which is both an IO-Link host reference design and an IO-Link sensor/actuator development and test system. Four IO-Link ports support testing four different sensors ( or actuators) simultaneously. Green and RGB LEDs on the sides of the cylindrical housing indicate power and communication status respectively. The reference design features four reliable female M12 connectors, the most commonly used for IO-Link, and two black IO-Link cables are supplied with the host for quick connection to IO-Link compatible sensors and actuators. The AC to DC (24VDC/1A) power adapter can provide more than 200mA to each port simultaneously; more than four times this can be provided to one port if the other three ports are not used. The micro USB port on the bottom of the case allows quick connection to a Windows ® PC. The easy-to-use TEConcept Control Tool (CT) GUI software features IODD file import capabilities, making MAREFDES79# a must-have tool for any company or engineer working on developing IO-Link products.
