Overview

This engineering report describes a low-profile, low-cost, isolated flyback using a switched valley-fill PFC to drive a 42 V LED voltage string at 1000 mA output current over an input voltage range of 90 VAC to 265 VAC. The LED driver uses LYT6068C in the LYTSwitch-6 series of devices. Key design goals are high power factor, low harmonic content, high efficiency, precise constant current regulation, and low profile and component count. This document contains power supply specifications, schematics, printed circuit layout, bill of materials, transformer documentation, spreadsheets, and design performance data.
