Overview

NXP's strong product portfolio offers automotive MCUs, sensors, interface solutions and tamper-resistant products for positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heater systems and control applications. In electric vehicles, PTC heaters can effectively improve the performance and safety of the heating system. PTC heaters use high-voltage batteries to achieve maximum heating power. IGBTs or other high current power devices can be used to turn the heater on or off.
