This project is essentially a USB expansion dock
output with the following parameters:
3 USB3.2 Gen2 USB-A
1 RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port female
2 65W step-down fast charging outputs (1A1C, two independent channels)
The USB expansion core is VL822-Q7 LCSC has stock The
network port expansion is RTL8153, this part of the solution comes from Link's USB to precursor Ethernet port project->The original project
desktop charging solution uses SW3526
input and uses a TYPE-C female socket, but only connected from the computer and cannot use the desktop charging function.
An additional switching power supply is required. The additional power supply is input through the DC female socket
and also has a dual-way power switching function onboard. This part of the solution comes from the dog-headed man's main and auxiliary power switching project->The original project
means that when the additional power is input, the computer side only needs to power the VL822, and the onboard USB 5V power supply automatically switches to external DC power supply.
This provides a more stable power supply for USB3 data line connection above 2M.
All functions have been verified.
This project is first released in Hard Creation Society. You can go to Hard Creation Society to support me (saving money for driving lessons... QwQ). I have negotiated with the author of USB network card, so the open source agreement of this project has been changed.
The following is the same copy of Hard Creation Society:
1. Project Introduction:
This module is based on VL822-Q7 + SW3526 + STL8153 is a highly integrated module that integrates Gigabit + fast charging output + multi-channel USB3.2 ultra-high-speed output.
Through this module, the computer only needs to occupy one TYPE-C line connection, reducing the occupation of 3 USB ports and network cable connection, simplifying the desktop connection.
2. Application scenario
USB expansion/fast charging
docking station laptop slot expansion
3. Product overview
This module is a unique integrated network port and fast charging, three-in-one desktop expansion dock
. The USB ultra-high-speed output of this module is designed around VL822
, and the fast charging output is realized through SW3526.
The Gigabit network port is enabled using RTL8153
. Fast charging output requires additional DC power input, while other functions can be achieved by establishing a TYPE-C link.

5. Instructions for use
The external DC power input port is a DC-044 high current female socket.
Please use standard DC wires to connect to
the external DC power input. It is not necessary. Except that the fast charge output function is unavailable, other parts can be used normally.
6. Remarks
SW3526 supports IIC communication to obtain the current voltage, current and protocol status, so I reserved the IIC communication pin header
to facilitate personal DIY welding. The attachment provides the bit number exported by LCEDA pdf file, each device has a clear position indication.
Since the TYPE-C data input terminal is a clamp type, 1mm is the most suitable PCB thickness, but the overall strength of the PCB is weaker than the 1.6mm thickness (but this clamp type needs to be slightly opened), and the user can choose the thickness that best suits him according to his needs (the order thickness bound to this project is 1.6mm).
There is a capacitor here that is an optional welding position, and the polarity is as shown in the figure below
. For scenarios with large voltage differences, adding this capacitor helps reduce ripple (the capacitor is the same as the two capacitors at the fast charging input end)
Some devices may not be available in stock at LCSC, and some purchase links are listed in the attachment;
Cost estimate: 100
yuan This module is a pure hardware design, and VL822 also has no external FLASH firmware expansion welding position
