15W wireless charging solution based on IP6829 design

 
Overview

IP6829 supports PD input and fully integrated 5W/7.5W/10W/15W wireless charging transmitter SOC Overview
IP6829 is a wireless charging transmitter control SoC chip, compatible with the latest WPC Qi v1.3 standard, supports A11, A11a, MP-A2 coils, and supports 5W, Apple 7.5W, Samsung 10W, 15W charging. IP6829 detects the wireless receiver through analog ping and establishes communication with the receiver, then starts power transmission. IP6829 decodes the communication data packet sent from the receiver, and then uses the PID algorithm to change the oscillation frequency to adjust
the output power on the coil.
IP6829 integrates full-bridge drive circuit and full-bridge power MOS, voltage & current two-way ASK communication demodulation module; the solution is highly integrated, which can significantly reduce the solution size and BOM cost.

    are compatible with WPC v1.2.4 and v1.3 standards.

    Integrated internal voltage & current dual-channel demodulation
    Support FOD foreign object detection function
    Highly sensitive static foreign object detection (adjustable by capacitor)
    Support dynamic FOD detection
    External resistor to adjust FOD parameters (adjust dynamic fod)
    Low static power consumption and high efficiency
    Static current 10mA
    Measured system charging efficiency up to 80%
    Compatible with NPO capacitors and CBB capacitors
    Dynamic power adjustment function (DPM) for USB power supply with insufficient power supply
    Support charger input as low as 5V 500mA
    Overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage protection function
    Support repeated firmware upgrade
    Support PD3.0 input request
    Support DPDM fast charging input request
    Support Qi protocol BPP, PPDE certification
    Support NTC overtemperature protection
    Support up to 3 LED indications
