CN3791 is a PWM step-down converter that can be powered by solar panels.
Voltage mode single-cell lithium battery charge management integrated circuit, independent for single
Lithium-ion battery charging is managed, with a small package form factor and peripheral
It has the advantages of fewer components and simple use.
CN3791 has trickle current, constant current and constant voltage charging modes, very
Suitable for lithium battery charging management. In constant voltage charging mode, CN3791
Modulate the battery voltage to 4.2V; in constant current charging mode, charge
The current is set through an external resistor. When the input power current
When output capability is reduced, internal circuitry can automatically track solar energy
The maximum power point of the board, the user does not need to consider the worst case scenario, but
Maximizes the output power of solar panels, ideal for
Applications powered by solar panels.
For deeply discharged lithium batteries, when the battery voltage is lower than the constant voltage charge
When the voltage is 66.5% (typical value), CN3791 uses the set
Trickle charge the battery at 17.5% of the constant current charging current. exist
During the constant voltage charging stage, the charging current gradually decreases. When the charging current
Charging ends when it drops to 16% of the constant current charging current. Recharging
Charging end state, if the battery voltage drops to the constant voltage charging voltage
95.5%, automatically starts a new charging cycle. When input power
When power fails or the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage, CN3791 automatically
Enter sleep mode.
Other features include input low voltage latch, battery terminal overvoltage protection
and charging status indication, etc.
CN3791 is available in 10-pin SSOP package.
Now that the weather is getting hotter and I’m looking at the bright sun, I’ve been wanting to take advantage of it. Although I know I can’t save on electricity bills, I like the fun of DIY.
The explanation on the schematic diagram is based on the specification and another engineer, and I have verified both.
There are no terminals on the physical board. I bought them originally but couldn't find them when I used them. Isn't that annoying?
The PCBA is not the smallest one. The main consideration is that it has to be soldered by hand, which is inconvenient. Compared with Taobao, the PCB area is much larger, but the performance is better. I sacrificed area for efficiency.
I have been using it at home for the past few days. The effect still needs time to be verified. I have to go to work during the day and there is no measurement data. Is it working? Whether it works well or not needs further verification.
Also, take a look and see if there are any flaws. Please give me advice.
