The LMT70 is an ultra-small, high-precision, low-power complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) analog temperature sensor with an output enable pin. The LMT70 is suitable for nearly all high-precision, low-power, cost-effective temperature sensing applications, such as Internet of Things (IoT) sensor nodes, medical thermometers, high-precision instrumentation and battery-operated equipment. The LMT70 is also an ideal replacement for RTDs and high-precision NTC/PTC thermistors.
Multiple LMT70s can use the output enable pin to share an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) channel, simplifying the ADC calibration process and reducing the overall cost of precision temperature sensing systems. The LMT70 also features a linear low-impedance output that enables seamless interfacing with off-the-shelf microcontrollers (MCUs)/ADCs. The LMT70's heat dissipation is less than 36µW, and this ultra-low self-heating allows it to maintain high accuracy over a wide temperature range.
LMT70A has excellent temperature matching performance. The temperature of two adjacent LMT70A taken out from the same tape and reel can differ by up to 0.1°C. Therefore, the LMT70A is an ideal solution for energy metering applications where heat transfer needs to be calculated.
