This evaluation kit targets the MC34932SEK. MC34932SEK is a monolithic H-bridge power IC in a durable, thermally enhanced package. The MC34932 integrates two independent monolithic H-bridge power ICs in the same package. They are primarily used for automotive electronic throttle control, but can be used in any low voltage DC servo motor control application within the required current and voltage limits.
Each H-bridge in the MC34932SEK can control inductive loads with peak currents up to 5.0 A. RMS current capability depends on the thermal capabilities of the device package. When the load current reaches above 6.5 A ± 1.5 A, the internal peak current limit (regulation) is activated. At frequencies up to 20 kHz, the output load can be pulse-width modulated (PWM). The load current feedback function provides a proportional (0.24% of the load current) current output suitable for monitoring by the MCU's A/D input. Status flag outputs report undervoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature fault conditions.
