JuicyBoard is the foundation of a modular open source platform that allows you to easily build a custom 3D printer, CNC router, or any other device powered by stepper motors. The idea is simple, and unlike other control boards, the JuicyBoard isn't prepopulated with any drivers, switches, or other features. Instead, it only contains components for common core functionality (e.g., microcontroller, USB port, SD card, etc.), so you have control over adding the necessary functional modules to your application. As we explain below, this modular approach provides the platform with many advantages over static board designs.
