* 1. Introduction to project functions


 

A small amplifier board capable of driving large speakers. 2.1 channel (low left and right), perfect performance of mids and highs, and bass that shakes the glass window!

The project was made public for the first time. It's original. The project has not won any other competitions. The project did not participate in the defense at the school.

*4. Hardware part


 
This project was designed and manufactured using Lichuang EDA throughout the entire process.
 

1. Main component selection .

The left and right channels are designed to use TPA3116 ( C50144 ) 50+50w power, and the bass uses TDA2030 ( C2683154 ) 18W power (TDA2030 is used as the bass because TPA3116 is a bit expensive, and I am afraid that the sheep will be too painful if it is too much). The audio preamplifiers all use NE5532 ( C783611 ). Then because I couldn't buy TPA3116, I later chose TPA3130 ( C95206 ) with the same package. The power is 15w+15w, which is more than enough as a desktop power amplifier.

 

2. Bass frequency selection circuit.

As shown below, traditional RC frequency selection is used to obtain a bass signal between op amp 1 and op amp 2 of NE5532. The frequency selection part circuit is as follows:

 

 

3. Single point grounding!

The signal ground and power ground are separated and finally grounded at a single point through a magnetic bead, AGND--[magnetic bead]--GND , which can avoid a lot of interference noise in complex power supply situations. The magnetic bead is equivalent to an inductor, which can isolate a lot of interference noise in the power supply ground. Because this is an analog electronic and has a large amplification factor, even small noise interference can cause a noise floor when there is no audio. Therefore, magnetic beads need to be used to connect the analog ground AGND and the power ground GND, which can avoid similar bottom noise.
 

4. Heat dissipation

TPA3130 ( C95206 ) generates very little heat and does not require a heat sink (in fact, you can also attach one, which is not a big problem). TDA2030 generates more heat, after all, we are all audiophiles. I bought 10 small heat sinks (with glue) for 5 yuan and attached them.

This project is an analog electronics project and has no software code.

* 8. Guide to avoiding pits


 

1. The bass sound is relatively small (too much attenuation)

I saw online that when using the left and right channels as bass sound sources at the same time, you can use a large resistor to attenuate the signal to avoid the problem of not distinguishing left and right after the left and right channels are combined into one. As shown below:
 
 
Later, the board was tested and it was indeed able to produce sound, but the bass sound was relatively small (the attenuation was too severe) . Then I removed the two resistors and only used the right channel as the audio source input. The problem was solved ( actually there should be many solutions. After all, I had already printed the board at this time. This method is the best solution. There is no need to redo the board. Gather the wool less once) . In fact, it is not a big problem to use the sound source of one channel as the bass sound source. The actual test is feasible. The modified circuit is as follows:
 

2. Materials are out of stock

I didn't buy the TPA3116, so I chose the TPA3130 ( C95206 ) with the same package. The power is 15w+15w, which is more than enough as a desktop power amplifier.

3. The speaker keeps popping

At first, I used a 12V1.5A adapter, but the speaker kept popping, or popped when it was louder. Later, I found out that the power was not enough and it could not be started. It was powered by a single power supply (the power supply was not powerful enough and it might not be able to drive it). Later, the battery was replaced and the problem was solved.
