TM1640 digital tube module

Overview

Introduction

A 16-bit digital tube display panel module based on Shenzhen Tianwei TM1640 digital tube driver chip. The board carries four 0.36-inch four-bit common cathode digital tubes. The power supply and MCU drive signal input interfaces are introduced.

Features

Only 2 wires are needed to drive, the interface is simple, and the microcontroller pins are saved.
Eight-level digital tube display brightness adjustment
A single TM1640 can drive up to 16-bit common cathode digital tubes or 128 LEDs
Current sinking into grid pin: maximum 200mA, typical value 140mA
Current drawn by seg pin: 50mA maximum, 25mA typical
Serial clock line CLK maximum clock frequency: 1MHz (50% duty cycle)

interface

VCC: The module power supply is positive, 3.3V or 5V is recommended
CLK: Synchronous serial communication clock signal input pin
DIN: Synchronous serial communication data input pin
GND: module power ground

Development library

Arduino platform : See the project attachment "TM1640_Arduino_library.zip". After downloading, extract it to the libraries directory of the Arduino installation directory and use it. There are related examples in the examples directory for reference.
