How can the ST BlueNRG-LP, as a slave, prohibit pairing requests initiated by the Bluetooth host and only allow the slave to initiate pairing requests? [Copy link]

Currently, ST BlueNRG -LP has realized the pairing function as a slave, in which pairing can be initiated by both the host and the slave. How can I prohibit the host from initiating pairing?

What is the host? If it is a mobile phone, according to the protocol, there is no way to actively stop the other party from initiating a security request. But this should not be a problem. What application did the OP encounter the problem when making? Is it because the iOS and Android platforms are different?   Details Published on 2022-3-11 11:29

Hi littleshrimp, I have read the corresponding part of BlueNRG-LP before, which mainly describes how the master and slave use the pairing steps, but does not mention the problem in my application: "Only the slave is allowed to initiate pairing requests, and the master is prohibited from initiating pairing requests"

I am not very familiar with Bluetooth, so I may not fully understand your question. If you use two BlueNRG-LPs to communicate, isn't it controlled by your own program logic whether the binding request is initiated by the master or the slave?  Details Published on 2022-3-10 17:23
