Do you know why UCC27211 needs an external Boot diode? [Copy link]

The official EVM has this boot diode added, but does the UCC27211 actually have this boot diode built in? It is internal, and an external parallel connection is added to prevent the selection of a MOS with a larger Qg, which will cause the instantaneous charging current to be too large.

It is not necessary to add this diode in actual use. Internally, add external parallel connection to prevent the selection of MOS with larger Qg When problems arise, sometimes it makes sense to refer to the official evaluation board.   Details Published on 2020-8-9 18:56
