本課程針對行動通訊網路技術發展的趨勢,介紹4G/5G系統之邊緣計算的架構、行動網路協定與核網技術,以及相關的邊緣計算應用。除了介紹邊緣計算與各項物聯網應用類型的關係,也包括雲端運算、霧端運算,以及邊緣計算在新世代行動網路應用的特質與差異。藉由一系列數位教材模組的內容,讓學生能更深入了解5G邊緣計算的最新架構與技術,同時培養在5G行動寬頻網路進行效能探討與量測分析的能力。
課程將涵蓋邊緣計算的協定、架構與方法,包括ETSI所定義的 Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) 技術標準,探討如何佈建 MEC 伺服器,介紹網路資源在 MEC 的分配策略,如 Service migration 、 MEC offloading 的相關議題、 MEC use cases 的應用整合、以及5G MEC資源分配及服務品質調整等技術。
在實作課程的項目,實驗課程運用跨校聯盟中心建置的核網與小細胞基站實驗環境來支援邊緣計算的相關實驗,讓學生了解邊緣計算的網路建置與架構。
