This test chip adds a material called "silicon germanium" (SiGe) to the 7nm transistor for the first time, replacing the original pure silicon, and uses extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology .
It is reported that compared to 10nm, the area after using the 7nm process will be reduced by nearly half, but at the same time, because it can accommodate more transistors (20 billion+), the performance will also increase by 50%, thus creating the most powerful chip in the world .
