Introduction
The LT®3799/-1 is an isolated LED controller with active power factor correction (PFC) designed to drive LEDs over a wide input range of 24V to 480V+. This device is ideally suited for LED applications requiring LED power from 4W to over 100W. The LT3799/-1's unique current sensing scheme delivers a well-regulated current to the secondary side without the use of an optocoupler. The LT3799 is compatible with standard TRIAC wall dimmers, while the LT3799-1 optimizes voltage regulation performance. In addition, this device also has low harmonic distortion characteristics while providing up to 90% efficiency. Open and short circuit LED protection ensures long-term reliability, while the simple and compact solution footprint meets the needs of numerous applications.
