Bert Fransis , Atmel's senior product marketing manager , introduced Atmel's latest ultra-low-power Bluetooth Smart solution. BLTC1000 is a Bluetooth Smart link controller integrated circuit and a new member of Atmel's SmartConnect wireless product line. It can be connected to any Atmel AVR or Atmel | SMART MCU as a partner device through UART or SPI API , while only consuming a small amount of resources from the host. . This ultra-low-power solution can reach levels below 1µA in standby mode , while providing the best dynamic power consumption in the industry and extending battery life to one year in several applications.
