Phison said that the X1 SSD customizable platform can provide higher computing power with less energy consumption.
With an economical and efficient solution that eliminates bottlenecks and improves service quality, the X1 can read more than 30% more data than its competitors at the same power consumption.
Sai Varanasi, Seagate senior vice president of product and business marketing, added:
We combine our proprietary data management and customer integration capabilities with Phison’s cutting-edge technology to create highly customizable SSDs to meet the evolving needs of the enterprise storage market.
Seagate is pleased to collaborate with Phison to develop advanced SSD technology to provide the industry with higher density, higher performance, and more energy-efficient products that will be available to all mass storage vendors.
The following are the full set of enterprise application scenarios for the X1 SSD platform:
● High-Performance Computing (HPC): X1 SSD delivers more computing power with less energy consumption, providing a cost-effective platform that can significantly eliminate bottlenecks.
● Disruptive Artificial Intelligence (AI): X1 SSD enables the next generation of AI to provide insights and generate adaptive model data that can be used in a variety of important industry research, including healthcare, education, science, and more.
● Hyperscale Data Center: The X1 SSD has best-in-class performance and is designed to handle more enterprise workloads, with higher endurance and the ability to move large amounts of data over the long term.
Finally, Phison CTO Sebastien Jean pointed out:
Current industry solutions have not met expectations, and the X1 reinforces Phison's commitment to raising the bar for enterprise storage by delivering world-class enterprise SSD solutions.
Combined with Seagate's deep industry knowledge and Phison's advanced architecture, the X1 SSD is designed to bring the enterprise-grade products that customers expect for a wide range of application scenarios such as artificial intelligence, cloud storage and 5G edge computing.
