TV-specific microprocessor ST6388 with screen display output

    The TV-specific microprocessor ST6388 is a new low-cost TV-specific microprocessor launched by STMicroelectronics . It is one of the ST638X series of 8 -bit HCMOS microprocessors (as listed in Table 1 ). This series of MCUs integrate timers, pulse width modulation ( PWM ) output, serial peripheral interface ( SPI ), screen display ( OSC ) control, ROM , RAM and on-chip EEPROM around a common core , so With a similar structure, it can be configured in multiple ways for optimal cost control.

    ·Powered by 4.5V ~ 6V , using 8MHz crystal oscillator;

    ·On-chip ROM : 20140 bytes;

    ·On-chip RAM : 256 bytes;

    ·On-chip EEPROM : 384 bytes;

    ·Has 22 programmable general-purpose I/O ports, 2 of which can directly drive LEDs ;

·There are 2 8 -bit timers with 7 -bit programmable prescaler     on the chip ;

    ·With digital watchdog function;

    ·Serial peripheral interface supports S- bus,Bus and standard serial protocols;

   ·Has 14 -bit PWM output, which can be used for voltage synthesis tuning;

    ·With 6 channels of 6 -bit PWMD/A output;

    ·There are 7 channels of 8 - bit A/D input ;

    ·Has 5 interrupt vectors ( IR receive or NMI , TIMER1 and 2 , vertical blanking, power monitor or ADC )

    ·Can display 8 rows and 20 columns of characters on the screen, can display 192 14 × 18 characters, and has functions such as shading, wrapping, and rounding. Users can program the character set of the chip;

   ·There are EPROM and OTP chips that are pin-to-pin compatible with ROM chips and complete software and hardware development tools.
