On May 31, according to the Huawei Xinsheng Community, on May 26, 2022, Huawei held the inaugural meeting of the third batch of corps/system departments in Area A of Shenzhen Bantian Base, announcing the establishment of the third batch of five corps/system departments. Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei and Huawei Vice Chairman, Huawei Rotating Chairman, and CFO Meng Wanzhou attended the inaugural meeting, presented the corps with flags and delivered speeches.
It is reported that the third batch of five corps/system departments are: Digital Finance Corps, Site Energy Corps, Machine Vision Corps, Manufacturing Industry Digital System Department and Public Utilities System Department.
It is reported that the theme of the corps' founding conference is "Let the idea of winning a battle become a belief". The conference emphasized that each corps will adhere to customer-centricity, openness and enterprising, focus on value creation, and build a symbiotic and win-win partnership system. Everything is for victory, everything is for the front line, let the idea of winning a battle become a belief.
The conference pointed out: "The Corps should focus on sales revenue, everything is for more food, everything is for victory!"
Ren Zhengfei said at the conference: "The Corps should focus on exploring and establishing their own business models. The Corps is a lean group organization with global markets and services. We must build a symbiotic and win-win partner system, involve the thousands of partners, and serve thousands of industries well."
Including the fifteen corps formed in the first two batches of Huawei, Huawei currently has twenty corps and a system department.
According to information, in October last year, Huawei held a mobilization meeting for the establishment of the five major legions. The Coal Legion, Smart Highway Legion, Customs and Port Legion, Smart Photovoltaic Legion and Data Center Energy Legion officially set out to promote 5G to accelerate its entry into industrial scenarios.
On March 30, the second batch of ten corps were established, namely: the Power Digitalization Corps, the Government One Network Corps, the Airport and Rail Corps, the Interactive Media Corps, the Sports and Health Corps, the Display New Core Corps, the Park Corps, the Wide Area Network Corps, the Data Center Base Corps and the Digital Site Corps.
So far, Huawei has established twenty legion departments, and these are just the legion departments. If we include terminal business, smart car BU and 5G business, the market areas that Huawei participates in have been subdivided into large and small scenarios.
The current situation facing Huawei requires Huawei to continuously establish military divisions to mobilize the vitality of internal personnel and lay a more solid foundation for the long-term development of the company. Since Huawei has established military divisions one after another in more than half a year, it is not ruled out that more military divisions will be established in the future.
