In my opinion, many mobile phone users have been fooled by so-called experts, from offline physical stores to online media, who have evaluated various mobile phone brands and concluded that some brands are very good, while some brands are full of nothing but faults.
Since smartphones were rolled out in the domestic market, foreign brands such as Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola have faded out of the domestic market. The only brand that is still doing well is the up-and-coming "Apple" (compared to old brands such as Nokia).
It only took a dozen years for China's smartphone industry to go from being an unknown feature phone to becoming the world leader in sales. Domestic companies such as Huawei, Honor, OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi have allowed foreign users to see China's advanced electronic products.
In 2022, Xiaomi held a new product launch conference in Madrid, Spain
Xiaomi has also offended its peers, and the offense is quite serious.
Back in 2010, the average smartphone was priced at around 4,000 yuan, but Xiaomi launched its first smartphone in 2011, pushing the price of smartphones down to less than 2,000 yuan. This will inevitably put pressure on its peers, and it will be very great. So there will be some negative comments, and they are not small. Simply put, it is like moving someone else's cheese.
The negative things about Xiaomi are probably these: assembled machines, stuck, power outages, etc.
The product processing model is very common in China, and the company that has been most affected is Apple. Foxconn is Apple’s gold medal processing factory. Is Apple an assembly plant?
As for Honor and Xiaomi, their OEM factories include BYD, Foxconn and other companies, and only some high-end mobile phones are produced by their own factories.
In addition to the mobile phone itself, the OEM products also include auxiliary accessories such as chargers and data cables. Most mobile phone manufacturers outsource production, leaving professional matters to professional companies, reducing their own unnecessary investments, and thus maximizing economic efficiency.
I have used Huawei, Honor, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, iPhone, Samsung, Gionee, Meizu, etc. I don't think the difference between them is particularly exaggerated, nor is there a god-like existence. Fruit machines also have a lot of problems, and in many aspects they are not as good as domestic ones.
If we talk about Xiaomi's advantages, it is that its price is lower than that of its peers for the same configuration, and its configuration and functions are more than those of its peers for the same price, which means it has high cost performance.
Some brands are vague in their product introductions, promoting the phone as having eight cores (in fact, almost all mobile phones now have eight cores. What’s important is the chip model, which affects the performance and price of the phone. Well, Apple phones have six cores).
Speaking of which, Xiaomi phones have made some breakthroughs in appearance in the past two years and have become much more beautiful. To be honest, their previous appearance was really a bit rustic.
The development of Xiaomi mobile phones has evolved from crazy piling up of materials to core research. For example, its self-developed products include Surge S1, Surge C1, Surge P1, etc. Its technological research and development cannot be underestimated. In the future, mobile phone manufacturers will not be able to produce without core technologies.
If you consider the hardware and price, Xiaomi is undoubtedly a good choice. If you consider the appearance, selfie, and psychological comfort, the blue, green, and Apple brands are more suitable.
