February 21st this year marked the 35th anniversary of TSMC's founding. It was reported that the stock price closed down 5 New Taiwan dollars (NTD) on that day, and there was no celebratory market, but the market value still reached 16.38 trillion yuan, ranking first in the Taiwan stock market. Founder Morris Chang estimated that if he had invested at the beginning, the return would have been 1,000 times by now.

Morris Chang once said that TSMC was unknown and not well-received until it was recognized by the public after more than 10 years of operation with its innovative foundry business model. In a recent magazine interview, he said that he encountered many difficulties in the early days of founding TSMC, the first of which was the difficulty in raising funds.

Over the years, TSMC has persisted in pursuing technological leadership, manufacturing excellence and customer trust, successfully widening the gap with its competitors and firmly occupying the throne of the world's leading wafer foundry. In recent years, the global chip supply has been tight, and TSMC's pivotal role in the global semiconductor industry has become more prominent; and the chip professional foundry operation model pioneered by TSMC has completely changed the face of the global semiconductor industry.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan, TSMC is the world's first integrated circuit manufacturing company focused on foundry and the pioneer of the wafer foundry model. The chips produced by TSMC for its customers are widely used in computers, communications products, consumer and industrial electronics, mobile devices, automotive electronics, etc.

In today's world of advanced Internet and mobile communications, every aspect of life is more dependent on chips than ever before. TSMC's advanced process technology leads the world and is an indispensable chip supplier for many major technology companies.
