Google previously announced that it will launch a method for streaming apps to Chromebooks or PCs for Pixel phones. Foreign media 9To5Google has already had a hands-on experience. Let’s take a look.
Last week, Google released the first Android 13 developer preview for Pixel phones, which has two cross-device service apps built in. With these apps, Pixel phones successfully stream apps to Chrome OS and Windows 11.
According to tests, this feature can stream mobile apps to the browser, display mobile notifications on the right, and click to open the large-screen interface of the app on the left without installing the app on the computer.
In addition, this function is not a simple screen mirroring. The apps on the computer and the mobile phone do not interfere with each other. There is also a button in the lower left corner that can display all the apps installed on the phone, which can be opened directly.
For Chrome OS, this function will be more integrated and can be directly displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. After clicking, the mobile phone App will be opened directly in window mode, providing a more elegant experience.
This feature is currently only available on Android 13, and Android 13 has not yet been officially released. We will have to wait until it is officially launched to find out what specific gameplay there is.
