Huawei enters China's 6G patent application market, world's first, experts issue warning

      China ranks first in the world in 5G patents and is now leading the world in 5G construction. 993,000 5G base stations have been built, accounting for more than two-thirds of the world. Recently, Huawei further stated that the 6G network will be built in 2030.

　　In the preface to the book "6G Wireless Communication New Journey", Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said that 6G is expected to be launched on the market around 2030.

　　While Huawei continues to promote the commercial use of 5G, it also began investing in 6G research in 2017. Huawei is also willing to conduct extensive discussions with the industry and industries and companies that may need 6G in the future, to jointly envision and define 6G.

　　In addition to Huawei, companies such as ZTE, OPPO, and vivo have also already laid out their plans for the 6G market and have organized scientific research teams to study related technologies. It is generally expected that they will be commercially available around 2030.

　　According to the 48th "Statistical Report on the Development of Internet in China" released by the China Internet Network Information Center, my country has become the main source of 6G patent applications. At present, the number of global patent applications in the field of 6G communication technology exceeds 38,000, of which my country's patent applications account for 35% (more than 13,000, or about 15,800), ranking first in the world.

　　However, the prospects of 6G are not all smooth sailing. Lu Jianhua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, recently said that the real demand for 6G should come from the market and focus on solving practical problems. We must avoid assumptions and arbitrariness, and we cannot replace application needs with technological trends.
