Recently, a joint team composed of Guodun Quantum, University of Science and Technology of China, Guoke Quantum, Jinan Institute of Quantum, and Shanghai Jiaotong University completed the world's first live network verification of the availability of the fusion of quantum key distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
According to Quantum Shield, this latest research further verified the feasibility of the fusion solution in actual business on the existing network. It not only integrated the PQC authentication protocol into the QKD device, but also conducted long-term operation tests under multi-user and existing network communication conditions.
It is worth mentioning that according to the news from Guodun Quantum in May, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China approved and officially issued the first batch of domestic quantum communication industry standards, "Technical Requirements for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) System Part 1: QKD System Based on Decoyed State BB84 Protocol" (2018 Communication Industry Key Project) and "Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) System Test Method Part 1: QKD System Based on Decoyed State BB84 Protocol" (2018 Communication Industry General Project), which are applicable to QKD systems based on Decoyed State BB84 Protocol using optical fiber channel transmission.
The above two standards were led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, with the participation of Guoke Quantum, Guodun Quantum and others.
