Leica can be said to be synonymous with high-end cameras, and its cooperation with Huawei in recent years has also made it famous in mobile phone cameras.

Last month, Sharp released the AQUOS R6 mobile phone. Its biggest highlight was the 1-inch large-bottom sensor jointly created with Leica.

Previously, Leica basically cooperated with mobile phone manufacturers to create products (such as Huawei), but recently Leica launched its first Leica-branded mobile phone product - Leitz Phone 1.

Leitz Phone 1 is equipped with a 6.6-inch IGZO OLED display with a resolution of 2730x1260, supports 1Hz-240Hz adaptive refresh rate (achieved through interpolation), 10-bit color depth and Dolby Vision, and supports 3D ultrasonic screen fingerprint unlocking.

The design of the rear camera is quite different from that of AQUOS R6, and it uses a unique circular camera.

It is similar to a traditional point-and-shoot camera, and of course has the conspicuous iconic little red label. Leica also has a customized protective case and camera cover for it.

The camera configuration is the same as that of AQUOS R6, with only a single camera, using the 20-megapixel 1-inch sensor, which is also the largest sensor in the current mobile phone, and the front camera is 12.6 megapixels. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, the battery capacity reaches 5000mAh, and the waterproof and dustproof level is IP68.

In fact, this so-called first Leica mobile phone is just a re-shelled version of Sharp AQUOS R6. Even the thickness and weight are exactly the same. There are some minor changes in the appearance design to make it more Leica-style. However, Leica claims that it can provide a "real Leica experience."

This product is currently only available in Japan, priced at US$1,700 (approximately RMB 10,954), which is basically the price of an entry-level Leica camera.

As Leica's first mobile phone, rather than seeing it as a mobile phone, I feel more like it is a Leica compact camera disguised as a mobile phone, and it doesn't have zoom.

Although I have certain expectations for its photographic performance, after all, the words "large bottom" and "Leica" are put together for no other purpose than taking photos, but I guess people who buy it don't care about these, but more about recharging their faith.
