Data from Canalys showed that in the fourth quarter of 2020, realme ranked fourth in the Southeast Asian smartphone market with a market share of 13%, and retained the title of "the fastest growing mobile phone brand in Southeast Asia."

Some people may not be familiar with the realme brand, so let me introduce it to you:
Realme was founded in May 2018 as a new sub-brand of OPPO in the Indian market, focusing on 1,000 yuan phones and the online market. It began to operate independently in July of the same year. In the fourth quarter of 2018, Realme officially became the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in India.
In August 2019, realme officially announced that the brand had achieved 10 million users in just one year.
In the third quarter of 2019, a report on the global smartphone market released by market research firm Counterpoint showed that realme's market share ranking jumped to the top 7 in the world, making it the fastest growing smartphone brand in the world.
In November 2019, Counterpoint data showed that realme became one of the top five mobile phone brands in the Spanish market just one and a half months after entering the market.

In December 2019, realme announced that its entire series of 5G phones will be available in the Chinese market in 2020, covering all price ranges of 5G models from entry-level phones of RMB 1,000 to high-end flagships.
In April 2020, Realme Vice President Xu Qi announced that Realme had reached a strategic partnership with Chinese retailer Suning.com and would enter its offline stores in China.
In August 2020, realme announced that the brand's global users have exceeded 45 million, and it has entered 61 markets around the world. It has been rated as the world's fastest-growing smartphone brand for four consecutive quarters and has remained firmly in the top 7 in the world.
In November 2020, realme announced that the brand's global users have exceeded 50 million.
