Jiwei.com reported on January 25 that recently, Huawei nova 7 SE 5G LOHAS version was quietly launched on the market. The biggest feature of this phone is that it is equipped with a new processor, Kirin 820E 5G.
It is reported that Kirin 820E adopts a six-core processor architecture, including three A76 2.22GHz large cores and three A55 1.84GHz small cores. Compared with Kirin 820, it has one less A76 core and one A55 core.
Kirin 820E still uses a 7nm manufacturing process, and the GPU is still the Mali-G57 MP6 GPU, integrated with the Balong 5000 5G baseband, and uses the Da Vinci architecture NPU core.
Some speculate that the Kirin 820E may be based on the Kirin 820 with some cores shielded, similar to the positioning of the Kirin 9000E. Some speculate that Huawei has no way to get new chips now, and one less chip must be used effectively.
Previously, Huawei also released a nova 7 SE 5G Vitality Edition, in which the processor was changed from Kirin 820 to Dimensity 800U, also to make up for the shortage of Kirin 820 supply.
