This week, news broke that OnePlus is developing a new entry-level smartphone called the OnePlus Nord SE. In addition to this, new news claims that the OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2021.
Whistleblower Max Jambor recently tweeted: code name "Denniz".
Although Jambor did not explicitly link OnePlus and Denniz together in his tweet, in a subsequent exchange with Phonearena, he clarified that "Denniz" is a possible name chosen for OnePlus' second-generation smartphone.
There is little information about the features and specs of this new phone at the moment. However, upgrades to this entry-level model could include a newer Snapdragon 700-series chipset, a OnePlus 8T-like camera module with more powerful sensors, and possibly a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED screen to replace the existing 90Hz screen.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be released in 2021 as a replacement for the original model that was released in July 2020.
It is speculated that the price of this new product may be between the OnePlus 9 and the upcoming OnePlus Nord SE.
