Foreign media WMPU reported that Microsoft Surface Duo was originally designed with a metal frame, but at some point last year, Microsoft decided to use a plastic frame, which seems to be the source of many recent problems.

IT Home previously reported that Microsoft Surface Duo had a problem with the plastic frame of the USB-C port cracking, and now many users are complaining that the plastic frame of the device has turned yellow.

This appears to be a recognized issue, with multiple users reporting that Microsoft allowed them to return phones with yellowing bezels.

According to these users, Microsoft also recommends cleaning plastic surfaces with alcohol, although some owners say this doesn't always work.

Considering the high price of this device, it is difficult for buyers to accept these quality issues. If Microsoft had conducted sufficient testing, it should have discovered these problems, but now it faces a bad impression.
