It is rumored that Apple will launch a new iPad Pro at the end of this year. This new flagship tablet is expected to be equipped with a more advanced A14X Bionic chip. In addition, this chip may also be found in Apple's upcoming ARM Mac.
It is reported that Apple started mass production of the A14X chip a few days ago, which suggests that the release of newer and more powerful hardware may come earlier than expected.
Twitter whistleblower @Komiya pointed out that the A14X Bionic has begun mass production, which makes us believe that Apple may launch new iPad Pro models this year. Although the arrival of the new chipset will bring performance and efficiency improvements, Komiya did not mention whether these models will retain LCD screens or adopt mini-LED panels.
A previous report predicted that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be equipped with a mini-LED screen and may be released in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Considering the degree of performance improvement brought by previously released chipsets such as A12Z, A12X, and A10X, the A14X Bionic is expected to be on par with Intel's 8-core Core i9-9880H, which appears in traditional notebooks and uses a large-area cooling solution.
