Apple's 2020 fall new product launch conference was held online at 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 16th.
The new generation iPad Air uses the same design as iPad Pro, with a 10.9-inch retina screen that supports P3 wide color gamut and True Tone display. The new generation Touch ID is integrated into the power button on the top. It supports USB-C interface, the front 7-megapixel lens supports Smart HDR, and the rear uses the same 12-megapixel lens as iPad Pro. It supports Apple Pencil and Magic Touch Keyboard. The starting price is $599.
The A14 Bionic chip also made its debut, using a 5nm process technology and integrating 11.8 billion transistors. The A14 uses a 6-core architecture, and the CPU performance is 40% higher than the previous generation. The GPU uses a 4-core design, and the performance is improved by 30%. The neural network engine with a 16-core architecture can achieve 11 trillion operations per second, and the machine learning performance is doubled.
